Frequently Asked Questions

1.  Will these products last a long time?

Answer:  Our arbors are machined from steel, then heat treated for strength, and then plated.  We took the time to machine wrench flats so you don't ruin the flats that the drill chuck holds onto.  We provide a tube so you won't easily loose parts.  The only thing you will be changing is the 3/8 threaded rod which costs about $5.00 for a 10' stick.  With proper use, the arbors could almost last a lifetime.

2.  Do the products work?

Answer:  Yes, they work rather well.  We have sold over 1,000 kits and have not had one return.  We do offer a 30 day money back guarantee too.  If the product does not perform the way you want it, you can return the item, within 30 days, and we will refund your money, minus shipping.  This is for factory direct orders only.

3.  Why did you chose to use a spade bit instead of a self feeding bit?

Answer:  We experimeted with both.  The spade bit worked great going through wood.  It is also light weight, allowing less bending in the 3/8 rod.  We felt that most of the time a person is up close to the work when using a self feeding bit, and they are using a hole hog.  We wanted a person to be able to use a screw gun.  The spade bit extension is mainly designed to get the worker out of the jam.  The arbor can also hold any tool with a 1/4" hexagon shaft, making it very versatile.  In the video we used a auger bit with a 1/4" hex shank which works well also.

4.  Is the 3/8 rod strong enough?

Answer:  Yes it is.  If there is too much bending in the rod, you can put a 1/2" pipe or e.m.t. over the 3/8 rod and this will strengthen it (Meaning the 3/8 rod will run through the conduit).  This is explained in the instructions.  You can see the instructions by clicking here.

 5.  Will you be making a hole saw arbor that can fit the larger hole saws?

Answer:  Possibly in the future.  However, we do like just using the larger hole saw adapter.  It is light weight and works well.  It is one less arbor the customer has to buy.
