Hi, my name is Matt and I been working in the electrical construction industry for over 20 years. I have always been frustrated with the hole saw extensions I used, having the allen head screws strip out, or not having the right length. They all seemed to fall apart after a short while. I came up with a hole saw extension I called The Javelin. I machined 15 of them and packaged them in plastic tubes. I went to my jobsite and they were a big hit. I think I sold 8 on the first day. I then came up with the 1/4" hex shank arbor which could hold spade bits. The kit became very popular with electricians and plumbers, but soon other trades were buying them along with some do-it-yourselfers.
Like most businesses, it has not been an easy start, especially in this economy. I still work full time as an electrician with the I.B.E.W. I am happy to have sold over 3,000 extensions and have had great feedback. It is always encouraging to hear someone tell me how The Javelin got them out of a jam.
